Exciting News-Friends of Speedy TV (FOSTV)

We have some new and exciting news for you. We will now be offering a free Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co stamp set to the winner of the FOSTV challenge. Every week we will be offering a free stamp set to one lucky winner. The stamp set this week will be:

Black-Eyed Susans for Encouragement

Hope you'll come along and join us this week and just add your card with the inlinkz tool.

Now, to my card that almost wasn't. I must have made and re-made it 3-4 times because I just couldn't get happy with my design. It started out CAS, then it wasn't, then it was...on and on. So, here is what I ended up with after wasting a lot of paper. I guess it was just one of those times...you know what I mean. Right?

The challenge this week at FOSTV (Friends of Speedy TV challenge 11) at Home of Speedy TV is to make a friend card. I'm using two stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company-Winter Crocus and Dogwood Blossoms (sentiment). I stamped my image twice, colored, cut out and popped on the crocus blooms giving a 3D effect. My little buttons are from Jo Ann Stores and the punch is Martha Stewart woodland branch edge/bird and branch corner punch around the page. The dp is Paper Pizazz purple plaid.

This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp & Show is Anything Goes. That kind of challenge is super and easy...the kind I like.

A new challenge for me and it looks like a fun one, ABC DT  Challenge Blog...they have a 'Springtime' theme this week so I'm joining in.

CCEE Stampers & QFTD

Joanne is our hostess this month at CCEE Stampers and this week she is asking for flowers, flowers, flowers. I have two Recollections floral embellishments but other flowers scattered about my card...some on the dp and others on my die cut.

Also, while I was away last week, I missed the Queen for the Day challenge #102 on Splitcoaststampers. The Queen was Judy Rozema aka StampingQueenJAR. Here is the card I cased. I really loved it. Of course, you can see changes were made. I did keep her sketch, though. Instead of stitches, I used a Sew Stamper. It is a self-inking rolling stamp. I had bought a Sew Easy once and never used it but the heads for the rolling stamp fit the Sew Easy tool it so I decided to try it out. If you would like to see them, go here.  Mine was purchased at my scrapbook store. I'm using it on the sentiment panel and is called Burst Stitch.
They even have Doodle Stampers which is awesome for me because I'm afraid of doodling. LOL

Also, I'm entering these challenges:
Divas by Design challenge #125 to use a favorite thing. Mine would be die cuts (listed below).
Let's Ink It Up #21-Show Us Your Flowers

The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company and is from the stamp set Winter Crocus.

My die on to the top is a Memory Box floral circle and I used a Spellbinders classic large oval die and Spellbinders classic heart die.

The designer paper is Recollections Floral Embellishments and BasicGrey Out of Print collection (giclee double sided). Added crinkled seam binding and it's all finished!
