Featured Stamper on SCS

Anyone like beets? I do if they are pickled, otherwise forget it! I rarely get to play in the Splitcoaststampers challenges on Sundays but I'm not feeling too well today and am home.

Shellie aka Shellied is the new Featured Stamper on SCS today and I wanted to honor her with a case of one of her cards. I chose this one. I went more CAS and also added an embellishment at the top and used a different image. Hopefully you see the resemblance in the layout.

I colored my image with Copics and sponged while still in the die. My image is stamped twice and I cut out and popped a top image.

Recipe:
Stamps-Flourishes Garden Fresh
Paper: PTI white, Stampin'Up! Old Olive, unknown dp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Summer Sky
Accessories: Copics, Stampin'Up! Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, misc. button, Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork die, Spellbinder rectangle scallop nestabilitie, green pearls

I adore how you can take an image that wouldn't appeal to me and make it look it great on your card! I, personally, do not like beets to eat but do like them a lot on your card!

I hope you get feeling better soon!

Yes I do love beets (freshly cooked and with a bit of vinegar!) and yours are lovely! FAB job with your colouring! Hope you had a good weekend, BOO to Mondays!

I love beets, especially the greens when it comes to eating. These are beautifully colored and the fussy cutting really makes them stand out.
