CCEE Stampers-Masculine

This week the CCEE Stamper's hostess for the month, Kathy, asked that we make a masculine card for the challenge. Hmmmm...don't know how many men would like this color of green but I'll keep my fingers crossed that the recipient will.

My chevron paper was a free digital download from Julie at Julie Makes Cards. She has it in different colors and is so cool. Thanks, Julie...I'm really enjoying the paper.

My sailboat image is unknown..had it for a while and don't remember where I got it but it has no name or company on it. The sentiment is Inkadinkado-Coastal/Maritime.

I stamped my clouds using an SU circle scallop I punched. I'm using VersaMagic summer sky for the clouds.

Paper: PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! Chocolate Chip, and Core'dinations apple green

The ribbon is Wright's and I'm using some old copper gromlets I had for a long time.

We would love for you to come along and join us HERE with your masculine cards.

I found a tutorial on making a chest online at ehow.com and took a look at the photo and made just a front with my cardstock. I had to set my sewing machine somewhere and thought this was perfect. I made a 'fabric' cloth for the top of the chest by cutting the shape and embossing. The chest was distressed for an old look. My sentiment was hand cut.

Recipe:
Stamps-I'm in Stitches
Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampabilities white
Paper: MFP Old World Gold, Bo Bunny Press-Velvet Floral dp, The Paper Studio brads for the chest

I also made this extra card for the blog hop using this same set. I went vintage with my card, something I don't do a lot. And, I had fun with it.

I have collected a few scissors over the years and my sis made me a beautiful  box that had some gorgeous gold metallic stitching on the scissors at the top of the box. That was for keeping my scissors inside. It was on my blog quite a while back. So, this set is really a lovely one for me.

Paper- MFP, A Heinrich Co.-Cherry Slush 100 lb. premium cover cardstock
Ink: Memento Desert Sand (sponging), SU Chocolate Chip
Accessories- ColorBok Victorian Parlour Doily, EK Success victorian corner punch, Recollections floral embellishments, Spellbinders oval nestabilitie, VersaMark Dazzle, Stampendous embossing powder (Jeweled Gold)

FOSTV-Summer

Hope you all had a super Father's Day weekend. My husband and I visited with one of our sons over the weekend. The other lives too far away to run for a visit so there was a phone visit with him.

The workers are finishing up in my house today. Hallelujah!!!! A hundred times over. Now, the clean up starts and I don't know where to begin. I suppose I'll start with the floors and work from there. Any volunteers out there to come help me?????? I'll have the cleanest house in town after this because I have to scrub EVERYTHING. If you don't see me for a while, you'll know where I'll be.
I won't have access to my computer today after about 8:00 a.m. I have to leave the house or stay pinned up in a little area near the computer surrounded by furniture from other rooms...NO WAY. I'll be away all day. When I return those guys better be through!!!!!!

The challenge this week at Friends of Speedy TV is Summer. You can do whatever you think is summer-like...beaches, flowers, etc. I'm using a Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co. stamp set called Black-Eyed Susans for Encouragement and for the sentiment, from the same company, a set called Pussy Willows. I stamped twice, once on dotted paper, cut them out, and popped them on top of the first image.

We hope you'll come over and join us this week. I'm showing the fabulous stamp set that some lucky winner will receive.

Remaining recipe:
Paper: PTI Bitty Dot Basics
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories-EK Success Morocco Lace border punch, orange pearls, Offray yellow/gold grosgrain ribbon

Colonial for a Queen

I made my card today for the Queen on SCS and I really like it but when I tweaked my photo it looks too orange. It really isn't that bright irl.

The new Queen is Cathy aka cathymac and she has a yummy gallery of cards. I chose this card to case.

I stamped my lace background, then stamped the pineapple inside the frame. Just added a ribbon, sentiment, and some pearls and it is finished.

Recipe:
Stamps-Hero Arts-Lace Frame, Stampabilities-Pineapple, Inkadinkado Garden Flowers (sentiment)
Paper-PTI vintage cream, designer paper is 7gypsies Savannah Collection/Telfair
Ink-Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge, Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories-brown pearls, Ribbon FX

CCEE Stampers-Nautical

Kathy gave the challenge for a nautical-type card this week for the CCEE Stampers. My card is a bit small being 4 x 4. It started out as a tent topper but it just wouldn't work with my larger image. So, this is it and I do like it just the same.  I love nautical cards and this makes me want to head to the beach.

I colored my boat with Copics, sponged some clouds,  and added a seashell. The images are all from a soon-to-be released set from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company called Silly Shells. It is a super set.

Come on over to CCEE Stampers and make a nautical card..it can be a ship, lighthouse, boat, etc.
Just link up with us...we would love to see your creations.

Recipe:
Stamps-MFP, A Heinrich Co.-Silly Shells
Paper-Leisure Arts-Surf's Up Toile, MFP-Aqua Light 100 lb. premium cover cardstock
Ink-The Paper Studio Van Dyke Brown-Basketball, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: VersaMagic (Sea Breeze) for sponging clouds, Stampin'Up! scallop punch for cloud template, handmade banner, corner rounder

FOSTV-Father's Day

Good Morning! Hope you all had a great weekend. I went to a wedding on the Mississippi River this past weekend. It was gorgeous. The groom was a friend of my youngest son. He was 'best man' so I got to see him and my DIL this weekend, too.

I'm celebrating my birthday today, also. Another year older and I feel it as I only slept about an hour last night. That's another story.

For this week's Father's Day challenge at Friends of Speedy TV, I went very CAS. I'm thinking that is all that is needed for a masculine card....no frills. I inked my small acrylic block with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Stormy Sky and stamped. I then added stamped my leaf in Stampin'Up! Night of Navy ink.

The stamp sets I used are Mark's Finest Papers Autumn Glory and Get Reel for the sentiment.

We hope you'll join us this week for the Father's Day challenge#24  and make a Father's Day card. This is the stamp set that a lucky winner will receive.

I also made a couple other cards for Father's Day and wasn't sure if this one look a little too Fall-ish but l'll show them just the same. I used the Emboss Resist technique and really brought out the sentiment on this one:

You can find this technique here on Splitcoaststampers in Resources.
Recipe:
Stamps--Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co.-Autumn Glory and for the sentiment, Get Reel, the same as above card
Paper- MFP-Old World Gold
Ink-Tim Holtz Distress Ink/Crushed Olive, Stormy Sky, Wild Honey
Accessories- VersaMark, Zing clear embossing powder, gold metal brads, handmade banners

This is another card I made using the same set.

Queen For the Day-SCS

Gosh, Fridays sure come around fast and it is time to case a card again for the newly crowned queen on Splitcoaststampers. This week's queen is Taylor aka stagccva and this is the card I cased. I made a one layer card as Taylor did but made mine an A2 size instead of a square card.

My computer is acting goofy so things may be out of whack. Just ignore it. :-) I'll make this short and sweet.

 Recipe:
Stamps- Stamps by Judith (Aster Flower Top), Stampendous (Polka Dot Background), Sweet 'n Sassy (Poppies and Greetings)
Paper-PTI white cardstock
Ink-Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories-Stampin'Up Cherry Cobbler ribbon

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm going out of state to a wedding. My youngest son is in the wedding so I'll get to see him and my daughter-in-law. Yea!

CCEE Stampers - Vintage

I think vintage is the hardest type card for me but that is what Kathy of CCEE Stampers  asked we do this week. I had won this stamp set by Crafty Individuals (the background and lady) a while back and thought it would be perfect. So, I colored her, gave her a glittery waist bow, cut her out, and popped her on some white wash paper.

My flower, doily, and sentiment were added and that completed my card.

Hope you'll hop over to CCEE and join us this week.

Recipe:
Stamp-Crafty Individuals
Paper- PTI vintage cream, SU chocolate chip, and unknown dp
Ink- Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Peeled Paint), Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories-Turquoise Stickles, ColorBok Victorian Parlour doily, Fabric Flower by Petaloo

Buttons and Bows-FOSTV

The FOSTV challenge this week is Buttons and Bows.  I added glossy accents to my Marianne Creatables Tags and Buttons to give them a 'real' look. Then, added the brown and white gingham bow for a finishing touch.

I'm using a Mark's Finest Papers Pussy Willows stamp set for the image and the sentiment is from
MFP Flaps My Wattles.

Paper: MFP Old World Gold, white cardstock, unknown matching designer paper
Ink: Memento Potter's Clay

My sketch is from Splitcoaststampers, SC239.

We would love for you to join our challenge this week. We will be giving away this fabulous set from Mark's Finest Papers called Daffodil Greetings. So, just make a card for the mentioned challenge and link up. Maybe you'll be the winner.

I'm entering my card into the Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge to use buttons.
Also, Simon Says Stamp has an Anything Goes challenge.
