Our Daily Bread Designs:SNTODBD24, Creative Card Crew, Stamps R Us

I have a tip that I learned the hard way. Don't wear nail polish while making cards. I haven't done that in a long time and thought my nails would look nice manicured. I used to keep them polished but when I started making cards I had no time for that. That is not a good thing, is it? I decided to polish them over the weekend and I can't tell you how many times I have run my finger over the card and it left a slight smudge of color. Ugh! Of course, you know the camera would magnify it a zillion ties So, I would have to start over. Now, the polish has to go.

I used a Sizzix frame for my card and I don't know the name of it. My sister gave it to me and I'll try to find what it is called and post it. It punches out in three sections. I used a gold leafing pen on one section and stamped the sentiment on one. The paper I used was a beautiful, already embossed sheet. I added a wide, light blue ribbon, a couple of flowers, and beading.
I made this card for three challenges:
Our Daily Bread DesignsSNTODBD24-Use a scripture and make it the focal point of your card

when I taught I had manicuted nails (fake ones as mine never grow)....but in retirement I got rid of them and am totally low maintenance.....people now need to take me as I am....poor souls......

This card is beautiful Brenda! Love your tip about the nail polish. I haven't had time to polish my nails much either!

My goodness....what a gorgeous, elegant card!!! I love the entire design....just beautiful!!! While I don't wear nail polish, my mom does (she and I work together) and the paper work she passes on to me always has polish marks! If she ever retires, her trademark will be missing!

Thanks so much for playing along with Our Daily Bread designs....we greatly appreciate you!!! God Bless!!!!

What a lovely card! That golden ring and beautiful blue ribbon are just striking against the white background! Those little flowers are just darling, such a perfect accent!!
Here's to beautiful nails! I polish mine when the spirit moves me..... which is not very often! I actually prefer the look of inky fingers to a manicure LOL

You mean I'm not the only one who doesn't have time to polish my nails anymore? Now you've given me a good reason to leave them unpolished -- it's part and parcel with my "other job". I love all the white on your beautiful card. Perfectly lovely embellishments, too, with the sweet roses and pearls.
