I'm really getting in the Christmas mood and it won't be too long before my Christmas tree goes up. This image from Stitchy Bear, Lite Brite really gets me in the mood for decorating. This week Tuesday Throwdown is giving the challenge to do your favorite color combo. Well, I have a few...black, red, and white....pink and brown. Really, I just don't know. But, I do know I love red and green for Christmas.
My sister gave me a magazine called Make Christmas Cards (Christmas 2011 Special Issue). My green dotted and red panels were cut from one of their designs. I liked the shape and cut my papers that way. No Spellbinders nestabilities this time. The dotted paper also came from that magazine. You know, some magazines include sheets of paper for you to use.
I glittered my star with Stampin'Up! Dazzling Diamonds and put glossy accents on my pot. The image is colored with Copics. I used a couple of punches for the snowflakes and a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background.
Recipe:
Stamps: Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps-Lite Brite
Paper: PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! Real Red, dp from Make Christmas Cards magazine
Accessories: Martha Stewart Polar Stamp & Punch (large snowflake), Martha Stewart Aspen Snowflake (remnants for small snowflakes), Cuttlebug embossing folder-Snowflakes, Stampin'Up! Dazzling Diamonds, Glossy Accents (on pot)

So very pretty, and perfect for Christmas. Love the little touches of gloss and glitter, not to mention the punched snowflakes -- they really set the scene. Thanks for sharing, too, how you made the shapes -- I was just about to ask which Nestabilities die that was! :-)
