Christmas day will be over by the time this post shows up. We have our sons and their families visiting and still enjoying the holidays. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got plenty of new crafting supplies. I did.....even as I post this before Christmas I can tell you I ordered myself some goodies for hubby to give me. Can't wait to start using them.
This week's challenge at Friends of Speedy TV found here, week 13, is to make a winter card or use the color blue. I love doing wintry cards in blue. It always seems pretty and icy. Hope you'll go over to Home of Speedy TV and join us.
My image is from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Company and is called Ice and Snow. I masked the trees at the bottom, used some white ink and a clear, deep impression embossing powder from Stamp 'n' Stuff to make my snow on the ground and really like the way it turned out. After adding the Star Dust Stickles to the trees, I see they don't show very much. The punch around the page is Martha Stewart Woodland Branch edge punch and MS Bird and Branch corner punch. Added some silver cording and it's complete.

Great masking, Benzi! Wonderful wintry card. So glad Santa was good to you, even if you had to be your own Santa! I can't figure out why my family thinks crafting goodies aren't enough to be a Christmas gift. LOL If it's what I want, that should count for something, right?
Gorgeous card, Brenda! I love the image and how you framed it! The sparkly snow is beautiful! Glad you're enjoying the holidays! It was quiet here yesterday, just us and my Mom and boy, was it pouring!
This is gorgeous Benzi. I love that punch around the page you used with this beautiful image. It's outstanding and showcases the image well. I got spoiled for Christmas too with crafting goodies that I can hardly wait to break into. I have them set up-just need to feel better to start whipping out the goodies.
What an amazing winter scene you have created here!
Brrr! What a beautiful, icy scene! Can't wait to dig in to my new stuff either.
I get chilly just looking at this scene, but it's beautiful! I'm glad you're enjoying your son's families visiting, and I can't wait to see what kind of goodies you got :)
Have a fantastic week!

Love that sparkly snow around and between the trees. I love wintry cards for that very reason: good excuse to use lots of sparkle!
