FOSTV-Red, white, and blue

I don't know about all of you but it has been a miserable weekend where I live in AL. When temps are in the 100's, it is very unpleasant, especially when it is the same for days and days. Thankfully, the humidity hasn't been too terrible but it'll be back soon enough.

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge #27 is to make a red, white, and blue card. I made a patriotic card last week so I'm going a different direction this time. This challenge can be found at Home of Speedy TV.

I'm using the Pussy Willows stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, A Heinrich Co. I colored and cut out the image (bird and branches) and popped them on the frame. I sponged the clouds with VersaMagic Summer Sky using a Stampin'Up! circle scalloped punch for the template.

I' sorry I don't know the maker of the frame. I think someone gave it to me long ago.  The rest of my recipe is at the end of the post.

Hope you'll join us this week for the challenge. Some lucky winner will receive this Mark's Finest Papers stamp set, Train Talk.

Remaining recipe:
Copics
Marianne Designs embossing/cutting folder called Frame (I sanded it with a file)
Memento Ink-Tuxedo Black
Designer paper is PTI Bitty Dot Basics

Gorgeous! I really want a window frame die!!! Love your beautiful bird on the Pussy Willows!!! In GA it's been crazy with the temp. It gets hot here but 105???? A storm came through this morning...looks like it has knocked the temp down a bit...but you can bet the humidity is going to spike now! Try to stay cool!!! :-)

What a wonderful window frame you crated and the little bird is lovely. Nice touch with the embossed pattern on the red paper too. Hoping it cools down for you soon!

I really like your take on the red, white & blue challenge! My brain always turns to patriotism when I hear those colors mentioned in the same sentence :)That chubby little bluebird is colored beautifully and I love the vivid red color too!
I hope your weather improves. Ours has been hot, but not quite as bad as where you live. I think we're all destined to have extreme weather during summer anymore!

Benz,
Gorgeous card! We are having horribly hot temps too - right now it's 101 (the temperature); the heat index is 107! Yuk!

Gorgeous card, Brenda! I love the the way the bird just pops against the white frame and red background! Sounds like your having the same weather as us! We got rain today so hopefully it will cool things down a little not add humidity! Stay cool!

Love the brightness of your card and your bird looks charming against the red! Oh those clouds look so fluffy...love 'em! Stunning card!

I'm so thankful today was not as HOT as last week and this weekend. It almost felt like a cold spell this morning when I was out walking at 7 am...lol. There was a nice breeze and cloudy but no rain here.

Beautiful card Brenda ... hope you get a nice cloudy sky yourself soon, and maybe a wee bit of our rain will make its way over to you! I definitely couldn't stick that heat, I'd have to hide in the fridge with my crafty stuff!

Benzi, this is just beautiful! Great bird and the window is wonderful. I totally love it. Could be a great Christmas card too - one that I could see Pamzi and I arguing over even. JK - I wouldn't do that to you two years in a row!!! Hope you are staying cool! Hugz

Love your unique take on red/white/blue. The blue sky is so pretty behind the window frame. It doesn't look too hot outside that window, as it is here (and where you live). Enough with the baking heat already!!
