Fall is Just Around the Corner

Have you felt the nip in the air yet? I sure have. The mornings are really cooler and my hubby and I were out for a walk tonight and it felt really nice. I know Fall won't be too much longer. I know probably most of you will be glad, but I won't. I do love summer no matter how hot it gets. Just call me crazy.

Just the same, I wanted to do a Fall creation for the new Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers. I have been mostly concentrating on Christmas cards and don't need to get too far ahead, I suppose.

The new Queen is Cindy aka YLM and this is her card that I chose to case. Don't you just love her pumpkins? I think I need them. LOL  You can see the changes I made.  I inked my embossing folder with gray ink before running it through my Cuttlebug. After that, the vines were stamped. The pumpkins were colored with Copics, cut out, and placed. My leaves are from a new garland punch I bought. Leaves were added and it is finished.

I think this will be my last card until Monday. Have a great weekend.

Recipe:
Stamps-Inkadinkado CC Foliage Trails and Pumpkin Patch Mini
Paper-PTI white cs, black and gray cs from Hobby Lobby, Stampin'Up! Dusty Durango
Ink-Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa, and Gray Flannel
Accessories-Tim Holtz Alterations Texture Fades bricked embossing folder, Offray jute ribbon, EK Tools pumpkin garland punch (for leaves only), Copics

I've noticed those cooler mornings and less humidity during the days and I do like it. Definitely not ready for Fall yet though. I'm with you and do enjoy summer.

Sweet fall card, Benzi! Love those pumpkins and all the texture on this card! We have been welcoming the cooler weather here lately. But, summer is not over yet. We are due for near 90 temps for the weekend. I wish I could order weather, but that would be too easy...lol! Take care, hugs!

Beautiful card, Brenda! Love the bright orange pumpkins! No chill in the air here! Upper 80's today with lots of sunshine! I might got to The Scrapbook Princess tomorrow. They are having customer appreciation sales. Meant to tell you that Sir Stamps A Lot is moving back to their old location! Their building got sold out from under them. Have a good weekend!

I'm with you Brenda, the hotter the better! I don't complain about the heat because it's better than snow and COLD. But, I also love fall - just not a fan of WINTER. Anyway your pumpkin card is total cuteness! I love the brick wall with the vines and the pumpkins! Great job CASing Cindy's card!
