Thanksgiving Wishes

I spent a Saturday doing something I've never done this early. I put up my Christmas tree. I know, it is really, really early but I have so much going on I thought I may never get it up by the time I want it finished if I didn't go ahead and do it. I know a lot of people don't decorate until after Thanksgiving but I  do, just never this early. Believe me, I have good reason for it. Anyway, my house is not the one where we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving Day so no one will know unless I tell them or someone comes for a visit. :-)

I'm still making a few Thanksgiving cards. I wanted to do the Dirty Dozen Fan Club challenge on Splitcoaststampers so I got busy and came up with this card. I'm doing the central theme which is Fall to Pieces....things pertaining to Fall.  I first had ribbon in a yellow/gold matching the leaves but when I made the picture, it was too, too much. So, I changed it and it may look faded out. It is what it is.

I have been meaning to show my pretty Sasanqua Camellia but have waited too long. They bloom in October and November. Mine has been loaded with beautiful white blooms but I discovered when I went to get a photo, they had begun to brown. So, I snapped one bloom with a  bee enjoying himself.
Seeing white blooms is quite a change from the Fall colors all around me. But, I have really enjoyed it.

Recipe for my card:
Stamp-Stampabilities Happy Thanksgiving 05-CR1138 (sentiment)
Paper-PTI vintage cream, dp is Damask on Kraft (dbl sided) The Paper Studio
Ink-Memento Bamboo Leaves, Cantaloupe, Potter's Clay, and Rich Cocoa
Accessories-Spellbinders Shapeabilities Foliage die, Cheery Lynn Designs Frame 114, Spare Part-The Paper Studio chocolate colored flower, Prima Flowers/Parchment Petals Scroll, Lush rhinestones, The Paper Studio/natural burlap/jute, hand cut banner

How absolutely gorgeous is this card! I love that lattice-type background and those pretty flowers and colorful leaves! The photo of that bee in that snowy white flower looks amazing! Around here, the only flowers blooming are mums!

Wow, I'm impressed that you've put your Christmas tree up. We are approaching the busy holiday season already. I need to get started making my Christmas cards. I'm so far behind...ugh! The good news, the Thanksgiving ones are done.

Have a great evening/day!

Love the flowers and those fabulous variegated leaves! Great card!! Can't believe you have you tree up already!! Mind you, I put my Christmas lights up early if there is a nice sunny day and it's not cold out (just don't turn them on until December 1st) so I can see where you are coming from :)

Stunning Thanksgiving card Benzi. Lovely flowers, great muted colors, and the perfect amount of texture. Wonderful job.

Your flower is beautiful. I have one little plant like this but it never gets very large (me thinks Kenny hacks it a bit much when he hacks down things). Love that a sweet little bee is doing his job in the picture.

About that Christmas tree - great minds think alike. I bought some Christmas trees this weekend and almost put them up. Kenny said we needed a smaller tree because it is too hard to drag the other up and down the attic ladder. So I bought two - one 5 ft and one 4 ft - never put them up but I thought about it! LOL!

Hugz!

We are kindred spirits Benz! I once put up the Christmas tree on Halloween night. Katie makes me promise every year that I wait until after her birthday the end of November. Kids today!!

This is such a pretty card, Benzi! I love those 3D flowers! And the white Camellia is beautiful! I love Camellias and don't have any in my yard now. Some of my neighbors have them so I get to enjoy them from afar! I wish I had a place to put my Christmas tree where it's not in the way. And I have an idea that Jack is going to be all over it this year! Email me your address. I have a card in my box for you.

You are the second person who has told me they put at least ONE of their trees up now! Wow...I am still trying to find time to get down all my Halloween. I don't have that much either...ha! :-)))) Just a few ghost here and there!

Your card is perfect for fall no doubt! Love the texture! Beautiful!

Your Sasanqua Camellia is gorgeous and you have captured it so well in your photograph.

Look at that camellia! Whoa. It reminds me of a gardenia, with those shiny bright green leaves surrounding it. It's so pretty, Benzi.

Hey, I don't blame you for putting up Xmas stuff already. I'm half considering putting out some of my snowmen. It's a timing thing, as it is with you. The older I get, the harder it is to just throw up all the decorations in a quick fashion.
