Flowers, Leaves, and Best Wishes

Good Monday Morning! Is there such a thing? :-)  I had a good weekend not doing anything stressful. I was out looking for a new light fixture and a new mailbox. This is the fourth time our mailbox has been torn down. The first time was when it had snowed and a sledder with a rope cut the post off from the top of the box and it has been backed into a couple times. These are long stories you don't want to hear about. LOL New box is up and postman will be happy. Light fixture was maybe a success.

I have made a card today to enter the challenge at Inspired by Stamping-IBSIC#47.

I was inspired AND challenged by these colors. I had to put my thinking cap on to get these colors the way I liked but I am pleased with my card in the end.

The stamp set I used is Inspired by Stamping/Just Because for the sentiment piece and sentiment. I cut it out with the Fancy Label Dies 1 by IBS. Love it!  It was inked with SU Elegant Eggplant (probably looks black but is dark purple).

My paper colors are PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! Sage Shadow and Pool Party. The ink is Stampin'Up! Elegant Eggplant.

I'll also enter my card into the Love Fest challenge at Splitcoaststampers. My card will be for the Simon Says Stamp challenge-Die Crazy/LoveFest2013E.

Rest of recipe used:
Stamp for background-All Night Media/Large Woven Threads (done in dark purple ink, SU Elegant Eggplant)
Accessories: Sizzix Big Die-Flowers #D (rolled roses), white pearls, Martha Stewart tags/doily, Marianne Design Creatables/Leaves, Gary M. Burlin & Co. glitter glue in purple

How beautiful! You already know I love the colors, but those willowy branches look more like feathers and give a vintage feel to your card! I love the woven background too! So sorry about your mailbox, I'm sure that has to be so frustrating. For your safety, I certainly hope the light fixture was a COMPLETE success! :)

When I see your card, I'm picturing a light woven carpet on the floor, with those big green fronds reminding me of a palm tree. It's a peaceful scene in my mind!

Sorry to hear your mailbox has been put through the wringer too many times. Hopefully the new one stays put!

Thanks for playing with us at Inspired By Stamping. :) Hope you win!

Lovely card - great colors and I love how you let that picture inspire your layout - wonderfully done.

We had all kinds of problems with our mail box too - we ended up with one of those really tough plastic kinds that they make kids play sets with and it has lasted a lot longer this time.

Many hugz to your my friend!
