Leaves of Three

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #57

I've been busy making cards this week, haven't I? The temps are in the 80's again today and I should be outside but I'm hiding from pollen. Of course, it will catch up with me soon and I'll be miserable for a couple weeks. The Southeast is the worst place for allergies in the U.S. Just look it up. Although, I am sure many suffer elsewhere.

I've watched my friend, Bonnie, at Stamping with Klass makes such pretty Christmas cards for  the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge where she is a DT member and thought I needed to get on my Christmas cards again. So, I got out my holly image and went to work.

This week is a sketch:

I punched out some 1" circles with a Fiskars punch, handmade a banner, and used a Spellbinders circle nestabilitie for stamping my image. The bow is a Martha Stewart punch, ribbon/bow.
My image is Ornamental Holly Fabric Stamp Set by Rubber Stamp Tapestry. I am stamping on paper, though, not fabric.  It works well on both.

The paper is PTI White, Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive. Ink is Memento Bamboo Leaves. My sentiment is from Hot Off the Press/Christmas Words.

My card also fits the March Christmas Challenge 2013/Dirty Dozen Monthly Themes. It is a challenge for Fan Club Membesr  and is an ongoing challenge so you are welcome to play whenever you please.: SCSCCMarch13. The challenge is Leaves of Green or Three.

I'm so glad you joined us at Merry Monday this week, Benzi! I love how you've used the circles instead of the strip and that bow is delightful! It was 88° here today and the pollen is fierce. And Jack wants to be "ouside, cmon ouside". I'll be sniffling all night!

You have been busy card making. Good for you. This card is very, very pretty. I love the shades you used here and the circles are a nice touch rather than a rectangular horizontal piece. Super nice job.

Great cas card...I love the design and great job with the sketch. I know what you mean about allergies. Spring is my favorite time of year...but I hate the allergies that go with it...but I do like the warmer weather that we had today. I was tired of feeling COLD all the time. (must be my age...LOL)

Aw, you poor thing! I am an allergy sufferer too, as you know. I empathize with you. People say, "It's so nice out! Don't you just want to get outside?" and you think, "No, I need to hide from it!" Terrible.

Love your simple Christmas card. :)

Fab CAS card, love how you interpreted the sketch.
Hope you escape your allergies for a while, or you could pop over here, no sign of any pollen here! (We're in for a heatwave this weekend, temps expected to SOAR to the mid-50's LOL)
PS your garden looks just lovely, bet it takes a lot of hard work to get it like that!
