Friday was the Queen for the Day challenge #160 on Splitcoaststampers. The new queen is Bonnie aka bon2stamp. She is my friend and blogging pal and I was happy to case a card from her
awesome gallery. It sure has a lot of beautiful CAS cards. This is the card I cased.
I used a wood grain embossing folder and Bonnie used a wood grain stamp for her background. I inked my embossing folder before running the paper through the machine. All the stamps I used were different from hers. I thought my Inspired by Stamping branch image could be used for a tree or branch..how cool.
Of course, I had to add a little bird to mine. :-) I'm sure Bonnie knows I love birds.

Hi Benz,
Das sieht ja Klasse aus, wie Du den Prägefolder eingefärbt und dann das ein glatte Papier mit dem schönen Stempel Motiv Quer darüber gesetzt hast. Ich bin begeistert.
Liebe Grüße-Carmen
That's a crafty and clever way to duplicate the woodgrain design on your card! I love how you added that earthy color too, and that little blue bird is such a cute accent :)
I spy a Benzi favorite: a sweet little birdie!! LOVE that great woodgrain, Benz. That's a great tribute to our friend, Queen Bonnie!
Love the bg on this - just a totally cute card. Hugz!
Oh, that's nice news about Bonnie! I like how you honored her, and used a bird which *you* love so much. I spy some IBS goodies on here, too!
Fab woodgrain effect, and such a sweet little birdie. Our blackbirds are in full chirp for Spring, they're definitely my favourite singers!
that branch is a winner...caught my attention right away
