Shabby Chic....Where are the Roses?

I love shabby chic cards made with roses and did make one with roses but I could never get happy with it so I made this one. I'm entering this card into the Inspired by Stamping vintage/shabby chic challenge/June Blog Hop and the Inspired by Stamping Customer Gallery-http://joannamunster.com/customer-gallery/

It also fits the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog-Anything Goes

I'm using a scallop border crochet trim from Inspired by Stamping and the sentiment is also from the same company/Just Because set.

Some cheesecloth was added on top of the Cuttlebug textile embossed piece and then the Prima/Flaxence Barley flower. I'm also using some canvas fringe bought at Hobby Lobby. The heart is Spellbinders Classic Heart and I've smeared it with Liquitex modeling paste.I don't think you can see the eyelet lace Martha Stewart punched paper underneath the heart. I almost covered it completely. Ugh!
I added a swirl of pearls and called it finished.

Ha, I thought it was just me spent ages putting together a card and then spent the rest of the time covering it all up!
This is beautiful Brenda, love your shabby chic style - I've tried this style but mine always end up in the bin :)

Benzi it seems to me you can do any style. From Clean and simple to Shabby Chic. I love this - so pretty. The flower, the lace, the cheese cloth the pearls-all beautiful. I have gone Shabby Chic lately myself. Next you have to try "Steampunk"....lol Is that a challenge?
Bear Hugs,
Carol

This is gorgeous, Brenda! It could be used for so many different occasions! You nailed shabby chic! I don't seem to have an eye for making those kind of cards. Love yours!

Have you started building your Ark yet! I am going to have a swimming pool in my backyard before this rain is all over with.
