Hope.......

I've been away on a trip and missing on my blog. Glad to get home but missing my son and his family like crazy. My trip explains why I haven't been to visit your blogs lately or uploaded since my little snowmen. I will remedy that soon. I may have to miss commenting on what I didn't catch while I was away but go from now.

I cased a card that belonged to Cindy aka frenziedstamper on Splitcoasterstampers. She is the new reigning Queen for the Day. Here is her gorgeous card. I would have loved to have used those same colors but needed to change it up a  bit. It's an easy CAS card...just some stamping and sponging.

I did soften my photo a bit. After other tweaking, it was still starker than in real life. Yikes! I didn't like that look so you get the mellow version. It is still so much brighter than in real life. I kind of wish, also, that I had stamped my sentiment in black.

I'm going over to Pixie's Crafty Workshop with my card. Now, that is one fun place to visit. I always leave with a big grin on my face after reading Di's posts. Makes my day! My birdies were made with snippets of white cardstock which I inked in blue. My stamped panel was also from snippets...is that a big snippet? Ha

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is to use a product from their store and name it: My product is Memento 4 Dew Drop Ink Pads-Farmer's Market. I'm using the cantaloupe ink from that set. They are also celebrating STAMPtember with a blog hop.

Recipe:
Stamps-Hero Arts/Design Block-Tree (used only partial stamp), Inspired by Stamping/Big Hope (sentiment)
Paper-PTI white cardstock
Ink-Memento Danube Blue and Cantaloupe, VersaMagic Aegean Blue
Accessories-sponge, Martha Stewart bird punch, EK Success Birds and Holly border punch/to punch out doves

I think we may have CASEd the same card, but I keep getting a Malware warning at SCS so I can't tell for sure! I'll get it posted in a day or so, maybe! Those little birds are so pretty and the sponging is perfect. Love that sentiment too. Glad you had a good visit. It's always sad to have to say goodbye.

This is a super pretty card. I think the sentiment looks fine in blue. So glad to hear you had a nice visit with your son and family.

I checked out your CASed card, and it's lovely. I think your blue, yellow & white is equally so though, and didn't find it 'too bright' at all. Also liked your blue sentiment, but black would have been nice too. It is a cheerful card, and personally, I wouldn't change one thing. Those blue birds just pop & draw the eye further into the viney elements & sunshine on your beautiful card. Glad you are home safely once more, and I understand about resting from traveling, & catching up on chores. TFS & Hugs
