Snowman Mitten

I love my snowman mitten die that was given to me last year by a sweet friend. It also includes a pretty snowflake which  was too large for this card but will be used a lot. I think this mitten would make a really cute tag, too. My sentiment set is also from her and I've used it sooooo much. Thanks, ET.

I thought I would stamp this adorable snowman on my mitten and place the sentiment on the thumb.
The ribbon is part of the die set. I masked and sponged around the snowman so he would pop a bit. He is colored with Copics.

I have had this piece of corrugated board on my craft table for a loooooong time. It was in a package and card I received from another wonderful blogging pal of mine. I knew I would use it someday and after seeing crafters use it on their cards, I decided this was the day I would use it. I smeared Liquitex Modeling Paste on my card for a snowy look. What a fun card to make. Then I added a few snowflakes.

I will be entering my card into these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge-Got Ink? I used an ink pad. What an easy challenge. You should check it out.
Papertake Weekly Challenge-Snow & Ice-Use blue or cold colors and include ice/snow or both. Besides the snow around the snowman, my snow is the modeling paste on the corrugated board.
Addicted to Stamps#69-use your favorite punches and dies
Shopping Our Stash #27-Use something already out on your desk-Mine is the corrugated board

My card also is for QFTD190 on Splitcoaststampers. The Queen is Susie Nelson and I was inspired by this card to do a card with a snowman. It doesn't take much for me to use a snowman. :-)

This is it for me this week. My little munchkins and their parents are visiting this weekend. Yea!

Recipe:
Stamps-Inkadinkado/98370-DD, Hot off the Press/Christmas Words
Paper-PTI white cardstock, Stampin'Up! Baa Breeze and Real Red  Corrugated paper board
Ink-Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMagic Sea Breeze
Accessories-Copics, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, Impression Obsession DIE 025-ZZ, Liquitex modeling paste

Love your snowmen, and this one is no exception. So cute, and great coloring. The shadowing made him really pop against the white mitten. Great idea to use the thumb for the sentiment too. The corrugated paper was a wonderful backdrop to the pretty mitten die, and loved the idea of adding the molding paste. Gotta learn to do that more. Great card,Brenda. Enjoy your family, and have a wonderful wkend. TFS & Hugs

This is such a lovely card! I never would've thought to stamp an image on a mitten die, but it's quite brilliant! And I do adore the texture your background adds and thought it was very clever of you to smear some modeling paste onto the corrugated board. The snowflakes add the right bit of bling and I am totally impressed at your Copic coloring skills! This is just beautiful and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!

Hey Brenda, don't think I'll be enabling you with the sentiment on my zebra card ... its a super-super-old die set from Ellison called Mac'n'Cheese, don't even know if they still make it or not.
