I
made this card for the August 2014 Christmas Challenge/Christmas
Renovation on Splitcoaststampers. You should take a past Christmas card and freshen it up with
new paper, stamps, colors, etc. This is a card I made in 2011 and thought I would give it a makeover. I may have gone a little too far with the change. :-) I thought I would die cut a few snowflakes and dangle them down the left side, ending with the sentiment. |

You didn't go too far at all - it's so lovely! The design you used on the other one and this one are so pretty. Love the embossing on both of them but like this embossing folder so much better - or maybe it's just I've seen that other embossing folder before and don't recognize this one. Gorgeous!

Too far? I don't think so, no!! This is wonderful, beautiful, and so well crafted! I love those dangling ornaments and sentiment on the side, while the embossing is a treat for the eyes! I absolutely love the ribbon too, so this is a winner, winner - chicken dinner for me! Beautiful!
Enjoy your holiday weekend!

The first Christmas card is so pretty! And so is this! Love that embossing folder that looks like swirling snow. (Think I have one in my NBUS box. Need to check.) Dangling the star and snowflakes is a wonderful idea! A good start on your Christmas cards!

I had to try that renovated Christmas card challenge too - a good way to get more Christmas cards done. I am ahead this year - finally and plan to do a much better job sending them out. Your color and dimension are wonderful on this one Brenda. Roll Tide! Hugz!
Brenda, this is just stunning! I love the embossing and love how you did the stars in gold.

Great makeover! Your first card is pretty! And this one is so elegant! Nicely done!
I'm with all the others..you definitely didn't go 'too far', but Just Right! Love the richness of this particular red color, and that is a beautiful swirl on the white. Loved all the gold elements. Very elegant. TFS & loved that it's a 'make over' or recycle...whatever is the proper terminology! Hugs
So pretty. That embossing folder is gorgeous and the colors are lovely.
Bear Hugs,
Carol
