LOVE

I'm bacccccck! It has been quite a while with the renovations and Christmas. Glad to be here.

I'm glad to get back to stamping so I can honor Sabrina aka Cook22 as Featured Stamper on Splitcoaststampers. I am on a DT with Sabrina and I see her awesome creations every week. She has over 2000 cards in her gallery so I had no trouble finding something to case. I chose her Baroque Christmas and loved it. I decided it is time to make a few Valentine cards so this is what I came up with.

I embossed my image with silver powder and punched out a heart to hang.

I'm entering my card into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge-Anything Goes

Hope everyone is looking forward to a special New Year's Eve. My hubby went out of town today and I'm hoping he returns in time to celebrate with a dinner out. Have a fabulous 2013.

Stampin B's Design Team Meets 'The Rose'

Want to hear some good music? It ties in with my card for the Stampin B's Design Team this week. I was inspired by this song, THE ROSE by Bette Midler.  In my opinion, this is
a beautiful love song.
This week, the Stampin B's have another fun challenge (#95) from NancyRuth to be inspired by a song title. I wanted to do Book of Love in the movie Shall we Dance (2004). Does everyone love that movie as much as I do?  Oh, that escalator/dept. store scene was so dreamy. But,  I didn't have what I needed to do that card so I moved on to Bette Midler's awesome song, THE ROSE. Love it just as much.

My card was cut with the Cricut. The image I used is Vintage Rose from Stampabilities. I did the ink marker to rubber, huffed and stamped. Filled in a bit of the image with copics. Then, I cut out another rose and popped it up after adding Stickles to the edges.
I used some unknown designer paper with musical notes behind the nestie and on the sentiment. The butterfly is vellum and edged with a gold leaf pen, then added a gemstone. The ribbon finished it off.

We hope you'll join this fun challenge here and be sure to include the song title in your description.
Use the Inklinz tool to upload your card on the Stampin B's blog or upload to the SCS gallery.

I am entering this card into a few more challenges:
Wee Memories challenge #40-Free Your Creativity-any creation goes
A Spoon Full of Sugar #136-Valentine Creations (yes, this is a valentine)
Craft Your Days Away CYDA Challenge #12-Represent love

Friend to Friend-Stampin B's Design Team

I had Blogger issues last night and finally went to bed without getting my card uploaded for the Stampin B's
Design Team . Stayed up until all hours and now here I am about 4 hours later getting it done.
Joanne challenged us to use and old favorite along with something brand spankin' new. My new is the Cuttlebug Embossing Plus tag I'm using. It was a Christmas present and I've used one of the tags from the
package already but not this one. I love these new tags that die cut, emboss, and let you sponge while still
in the die cut. My old favorite is my textile embossing folder. It is my favorite of all the folders I have.

I first did my card in red, black, and white which are my usual colors for Valentine cards but I just wasn't happy and this color came coming to mind and I was forced to make my card again..and I like it.

If you would like to join the Stampin B's this week, just load your card or project using the Inlinkz or if uploading to Splitcoaststampers, use the keyword StampinB.

This card also fits: Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge #36 to use something new.
