A Corner of Love
Yes, it's me with another post and it will be the last one this week.
This card is for the Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers, QFTD150. The Queen is Beate! Who doesn't know Beate if you are ever on SCS. She does so many wonderful video tutorials for us so we'll have many techniques to use. Plus, her cards and projects are beautifully done.
I cased this card from Beate's gallery. It is one of her CAS cards. If you turn the card upside down, you'll see what I did. Also, I didn't do the scoring and placed a ribbon on mine.
Have a wonderful weekend. Hope it warms up for everyone.

A Case
My 2nd post for today. I didn't post anything for almost a week and had two yesterday and I'll probably have a couple today. Occasionally, that is the way it works.
My friend and blogging pal, Bonnie, was named the Featured Stamper this week on Splitcoaststampers (FS312). This is the card I cased from her super gallery of mostly CAS cards. I just love the sled image she used but didn't have it. So, I'm using this adorable image from Meljen's Designs to case her card. I added my Merry Christmas sentiment on the inside.
I colored with Copics and added some Stampin'Up! Dazzling Diamonds on the snow.
Bonnie, I sure hope you have been enjoying this week seeing all the cards made just for you.
I'm also entering this card into the February Christmas Challenge on Splitcoaststampers: SCSCCFEB13.
I failed to mention last week that my Funky card won top 3 honors at Inspired by Stamping. I don't enter a lot of challenges so it was awesome to find I had won two on the same day. My blogging pal Colleen Dietrich is on the IBS DT and she has certainly inspired me with all her awesome cards using their products , so much that I have placed and received an order I can't wait to use.

Merry Little Christmas CASE
I'm so in love with snowmen and this one has a little birdie, too. That makes it extra fun. I really like that the snowman is out of the box. He is a Sassy Cheryl digi-Blinkies Snowday Dreaming.
Stacy Morgan/Twinshappy on Splitcoaststampers asked me to do a sample for the challenge on SCS (SCSCCFEB13). This is for the February Fan Club Christmas challenge starting 2/1/13. You must be a fan club member to join this challenge. You can find it in the forum under monthly themes. I'm really excited about it and plan to make a few cards each month so I'll be ready for next Christmas.
The theme is: May I *case* you? Case anyone on SCS and give a link to the creation you cased. Be sure to change at least 2 details of the original. I am doing a case of this adorable bag by jaydekay.
I embossed the panel on top of the striped dp with a Cuttlebug snowflakes folder. The image is colored with Copics and cut out. I cut out my sentiment and tried to do it as jaydekay did hers by marking with a black marker.
I'm also entering my card into these challenges:

CCEE Stampers-Hot Talk
CCEE1306
Joanne Grzelak is our hostess for this last challenge of the month at CCEE Stampers. What a fun one it is! We in the Northern Hemisphere are in the midst of winter, so let's think HOT. Create a card that is 'hot' in temperature, theme, or taste. Could be a sun, a hot pepper, a summer scene, a romance theme...the variations are endless.
For my card, I decided on taste, something HOT that will warm me up when it's cold outside. Although, it has been rather warm where I live. It was 73 here Tuesday. Of course, that brought on a tornado warning in the wee hours (3:00 a.m.) on Wednesday morning. It is now colder now after the storms. I have small tree limbs all over the front lawn....another job for hubby to collect all that.
I went with a CAS card just cutting my circles, paper piecing my cup, adding some Liquid Applique for the foam, and a sentiment. It's finished quickly. It does make me want to go get a cup of hot chocolate from the kitchen. Hmmmm

Birds and Berries
The new Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers is Diane aka Charminglycreative. This is the card I chose to case. Diane has beautiful cards and uses a lot of dies and embossing folders. She also does a lot of white cards. I had the bird branch she used but decided I would just use this Martha Stewart bird set. I visited my sister recently and she let me stamp it while there. I brought it home and got out the Copics and had a great time coloring it.
I cut out two Spellbinders Labels 4 die cuts, sponged around the bird while still in the die, and then placed the top die over the bottom one.
Also, I am happy to say I was chosen as an honorable addict for this card over at Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #5. Yippee!

Time Marches On
CCEE1304
This week, Joanne Grzelak challenged the CCEE Stampers to celebrate a little known holiday, Punch the Clock Day (Jan 27), by creating a masculine card with some connection to time or clocks. How interesting! For sure, I've never heard of that holiday. But, I had a timepiece stamp I had never used so away I went creating.
This card will be for my oldest son and the time on the clock is when he was born...2:39 a.m. It was nice that the hands of the clock were separate so I could stamp it wherever I wanted.
As you can see, I did a lot of distressing..a lot. :-) The bronze colored paper is a pad from Hobby Lobby. I ran it through a Cuttlebug embossing folder/Herringbone. I used a Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad/tea dye to run over it after I ran it through the Cuttlebug. When I took a photo, the clock turned more copper (a lot more). Ugh! Well, I do love copper, though.
The rim of the clock was colored with Copic Lionet Gold, Y-28. I crackled the face of the clock with Inkssentials Crackle Accents and Ranger Distress Crackle. Added the corners and a sentiment...all done!
Other items used:
Stamps-Studio 112 for timepiece-I think a $1.00 stamp from Jo Ann Stores, Sentiment is Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps/Fabulous Dogs
Paper-PTI vintage cream, Stampin'Up! Chocolate Chip, The Paper Studio/Wood Fence-Designer Red

Funky
The rain stopped long enough to give us a few snowflakes on Thursday. Wow! We don't know what to do without rain. :-) We've had at least 13 inches since Dec. 15th. There is a promise of sunshine for several days now and that makes me happy. Our snow didn't stick, just a little on the fence ledge and around a few shrubs and trees. Fingers (and toes) crossed for a big one later this winter.
I am using this Sassy Cheryl's Digis image to join in the challenge at Inspired by Stamping-IBSIC42 where my friend Colleen is a DT member. She has certainly inspired me with her beautiful cards made with IBS images and has enabled me to place a very recent order. :-)
My image is Funky Bunny and I just think he is too, too cute. The challenge is to use the colors posted below. Aren't they yummy? My sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps/Blessings.
I have gone from snowmen to Easter cards. Would you say I'm getting ahead? :-)
I used PTI white cs with Stampin'Up! Night of Navy cardstock.
The image is colored with Copics and the ink SU Night of Navy.
That's it on this CAS card.
My card is also for the Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers, QFTD148. The queen this week is Brenda aka tessaduck. I am doing a loose case of this card.
For uploading, I'll probably be away from my blog until Thursday. See you all soon. Have a great weekend.

Simple Black and White
CCEE1303
Joanne Grzelak gave the challenge this week at CCEE Stampers to make a CAS (clean and simple) sympathy card. I do love making a CAS card and ending with a clean, crisp look. I chose black and white which I think gives it an elegant look.
My image is Stampin'Up! Thoughts and Prayers and the sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps, Oopsy Daisy.
I added a couple of score lines with the Scor-Pal and some Kaiser pearls in black.
We hope you'll join us and let us see your sympathy card. I know I really should make more of this type card to have on hand.
I'm entering my card into the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #5-use black and white and, if you like, a splash of color

The Cutest Smile Ever
It continues downpours of rain here. Good time for crafting but I am getting a bit depressed over all these clouds. Bring on the sunshine. Please!!!!!
I'm using a digital image for my card that is being entered into the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog #149. The theme is Thinking of You. The name of the digital image is, A Simple Gift of a Flower.
I used the card sketch from last week's card sketch on Splitcoaststampers, SC418 and I'm doing the SCS color challenge for today, CC409 .

Big, Round Head with Crinkled Nose
I know, I know, I have overdosed on snowmen. But, I can't help myself. I just love them and, you know, it is winter. I'll fight myself and try to do something else soon. LOL
Hope you all had a fab weekend. We had downpours of rain. If it could have only been really, really cold, just think of the snow we could have had. When the cold comes in, the moisture disappears around here. So, not much chance of the white stuff. Such is living in the deep south, I suppose.
My sweet snowman is from Sassy Cheryl's Digis. She does have the cutest ones and I have several more in the wings just waiting to be made. Ha I made the card for the Featured Stamper, FS310, on Splitcoaststampers. Her name is Lynn aka allee's. She is such a sweet person and has a wonderful gallery of cards. I hesitate to show you which card I cased. A lot went wrong and it barely resembles hers. O.K., this is it. I had my card completely made and saw a boo boo, tore it up and threw it in the garbage can. I thought I would use my snowflakes instead of the side panels she used. Gosh, everyone thought my snowflakes were black. Nope, they are dark blue, Night of Navy from SU.
My card also fits the new January Fan Club Christmas Challenge, SCSCCJAN13: Christmas Wedding/be inspired by borrowed, blue, old, and new or all. I have all but the borrowed on my card. I have a new digi, used blue Copics, and the punches are old.
You will have to be a member to join the fun.
