Christmas Tree-Speedy's Friends

This week for Speedy's Friends challenge #25, Geri gave the challenge to do stitching or faux stitching on your card. That is a challenge that causes much trembling. LOL Let me tell you, I can't make a straight stitch. My sister gave me a Janome for Christmas last year but I never have time to practice on it because I'm always making cards. You know..the addiction! So, I just used some faux stitching on my envelope..couldn't find a spot on my card for it. Not very good planning, I suppose. I also stamped the same MFP's tree on the envie as the card.

I stamped my tree twice for dimension, cut out, and placed on top of my die cut. I like it except I wish I had stitching on it...maybe soon I'll master that.

Other challenges I'm entering: Paper Cutz #63 Anything Goes

Just Inspirational Challenges #16 Anything Goes

Stamps: Mark's Finest Paper-Snowman Country

Paper: Stampin'Up Old Olive, PTI white cardstock

Accessories: Spellbinders Fancy Tags & Shapeabilities Lattice Pendant, SU Old Olive ribbon, Martha Stewart Stamp & Punch Polar (snowflake), SU Dazzling Diamonds, tree stamped in white ink and clear embossing powder, Martha Stewart tiny rhinestones, Cuttlebug Holiday Plus Shapes embossing folders (bundle), Tombow markers, template for faux stitching

Gorgeous pendant for the tree and I love the "snow" on it too :) Loving the green and white as well. Lovely card. Will be looking for some stitching on future cards now LOL!

You may need a week off to get the camera and the sewing machine mastered :)

This is SO pretty, Benzi!! I love the olive green and white combo. I think your stitching on the envie is a perfect solution--good thinking!! And the white embossing on the tree is perfect for snow. A lovely creation :)

Gorgeous card, love the pop of your green tree against the pretty white embossing. Can't believe you have a Janome and haven't used it (sooo envious, mine is super crappy) Get your sewing machine out girl!... I can't sew straight either, so when my stitching goes really wonky I just sew another wonky line and it kinds looks as if it was intentional!!
