Stampin B's Design Team-Sympathy

I love the paper I'm using and didn't want to cover it so my card for the Stampin B's Design Team challenge, issued by Lois this week, is really simple. The challenge is for a monochromatic card and I thought these colors were really nice for a sympathy card.
I made my twisted ribbon flower and added a pearl brad to the center. Added lace, die cut leaves, and  a sentiment and that's it!

Hope you'll join us this week. If so, just add your card with the inlinkz tool here.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:
Creative Belli Blog #111 Felt or Fabric
Forgotten Scraps-#3-Spring or Flowers (made my flower)
Simon Says Stamp-Make your own embellishment (I made my twisted ribbon flower and die cut my leaves)

Recipe:
Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers-Our Family Tree
Paper: Stampin'Up! chocolate chip cardstock, Mirabelle paper pack-The Paper Studio
Ink: Stampin'Up! Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Lace, Sizzix Branch w/leaves die cut, Ribbon from Mark's Finest Papers, Miscellaneous pearl brad

What a beauty this is with that beautiful twisted rose and the lacy border! The soft, subtle colors are so serene and they're perfect for the sentiment you added! I love monochrome cards, but struggle to create them for some reason?

What a lovely card, Brenda. Your flower turned out very pretty. And I agree about not covering up that beautiful paper.

Great minds think alike, Benzi!! We both made ribbon flowers for our StampinB cards this week. :D Did I tell you that I watched that ribbon rose video you posted last week? Boy, that really helped me a lot. Thanks so much for sharing it! I still need some practice, but I think my flower this week is better than last week's. Anyway, your card is GORGEOUS! Perfect for a sympathy card. Love those colors, your paper, and of course, that awesome ribbon rose!
