New Home/Apartment Card-CCEE Stampers

The CCEE Stampers challenge this week given by Joanne is to make a new home/apartment card.
I got my digital image from Deena at A Creative Need (Etsy) and it is called Cottage Window. I thought it was really good for this challenge.

I wanted to give it a crackled, old look so I used Ranger Distress Crackle Paint in Clear Rock Candy on the shutters and frame. I really wanted it to look like peeling paint but it doesn't...maybe if I had sanded. I guess I was going for a look of an old, comfy, but in need of a paint job house. LOL

I used Copics to color and used a couple dies. The die under the sentiment is PoppyStamps ivy tendrils and the buttons are from Marianne Creatables Tags and Buttons.

My stamp for the sentiment is a Flourishes set called Home Tweet Home and the paper is PTI white cardstock, Paper Pizazz Christmas Plaid, and black scraps.

Hope you'll join us at CCEE Stampers, take a look at what the rest of the team made,  and show us your creation.

Ooooo, I'm loving that plaid paper! It really sets off the image, Benzi. Fantastic.

I like the texture on the shutters. And if you were looking at this window from the inside, the shutters probably wouldn't have peeled paint. This is a beautiful digi and perfect for a new home card.

What a cozy and homey feeling to your adorable shuttered window card. It makes me think of a house at the beach - where you can actually pull the shutters to and lock them. So adorable, Benz.

You turned a digi image into something so textural and amazing! Bearzi just introduced me to the Crackle Paint, and I bought a trio of it the other day at JoAnn. I didn't try the Rock Candy one yet, but I love what I see here!
