Flower Vase
I was asked to be Guest Designer on Splitcoaststampers Queen for the Day challenge this week. The newly crowned queen is Sharon aka smadson and this is the card I cased. I did a little rearranging and
used different dies and added a butterfly. My recipe is listed below.
Hope you all have a great weekend and it is warming up where you are. The last I heard Punxsutawney Phil has now been exonerated after being indicted for lying about an early Spring. I refuse to listen to him anymore. How about you? LOL
Have a very special Easter.

Thinking of You
CCEE1313
Charlene Merrick gave the challenge this week at CCEE Stampers--Oldies But Goodies-pull out and use an old stamp (s) that you haven't used in a looooooooooong time! My oldie is a Stampendous stamp set called Encouraging Words. I really like this set and thought I would use it for a sympathy card.
I went CAS/clean and simple for my card. I've colored the leaves with Copics and just added a sentiment and it is all finished.
I hope you will check out the rest of the team's cards and join us this week. It is always fun to drag out and use something that hasn't seen ink in a while.
I'm entering my card into these challenges:

Special Days
My card is made for two challenges. One is Inspired by Stamping-IBSIC #51 and for the Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers. The Queen is Val aka Greywolf. I chose this card to case.
Inspired by Stamping is a color challenge using white, orange, and green.
My cardstock is Stampin'Up! Old Olive and PTI white. The orange is my flower colored with Copics. The gorgeous flower is from Inspired by Stamping/Elegant Flowers and the sentiment from the same company is from the set, Flowers Bloom.
I sponged around the flower, added a QuicKutz flourish and some pearls. My dies are Spellbinders Stately Circles and the ribbon is SU Old Olive
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. Unfortunately, this weekend is not in the 70's as last weekend was where I live and I'm very sorry about that.

CCEE Stampers Color Challenge
My mojo has left me and I'm afraid I'm disappointed in my card this week. Several times, I wanted to make another one or re-work this one, but here it is. Seems as if when I make a card far ahead of time, I look at it until I don't like it one bit. Guess I should put it away when finished and not look at it until time to post.
Charlene Merrick gave a pretty color challenge this week: Use Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, River Rock, Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla. I had to substitute a couple of those. I'm using a sketch from Splitcoaststampers SC425.
I hope you'll come over to the CCEE Stampers and check out the rest of the team's awesome cards. Then, we hope you'll play along with our color challenge.

White on White for a Queen
If you hear someone screaming, it's me!!!! I have had so much trouble today with my photo editing software. It has caused me to waste sooooooooo much time.
But, I'm here with my card that I usually make on Fridays. It is for the Queen for the Day on Splitcoaststampers. It is Rita aka scootsv this week and here is the card I cased. I used different dies mostly for the change. I love white on white and just had to make one.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Should be 74 degrees and sunshine here in AL tomorrow. I've called someone to help with getting my lawn and flower beds in order. I'm going to let him clean out the beds and put down new pine needles and bark while hubby and I tend to other parts of the yard. Hope to get it in shape early this Spring. I'm hoping with someone else doing the beds I won't get allergies. Fat chance!!

Geraniums
I've pre-scheduled this card for upload. My sister is visiting and we're having a great time. Of course, we went to a scrapbook store (a really good one) and shopped a lot. We also have gotten in some card making time.
Today, our hostess at CCEE Stampers, Charlene Merrick, gave the challenge to use pencils only. No markers, no crayons, no reinkers. Use colored pencils to color your image. Yikes! I was wanting to bring out my Copics. But, I got out my Prismacolor pencils. Guess what? This turned out to be fun and was something I had not done in a long time.
I love this geranium image. It is from Serendipity-Geranium Lg. I will be glad when I have some of those wonderful flowers blooming on my patio. My hubby built me a large planter, about 7 ft., several years ago and I fill it with geraniums, ivy, and whatever. It is always a pleasure to look out of my kitchen and see it.
This is a side opening card, something I rarely make. I added a butterfly, used my rectangle die, and Martha Stewart tag. All finished.
Won't you come over to the CCEE Stampers blog and check out the rest of the talented team's cards and show us your own card using pencils? We would love to have you.

Tulips Are My Favorite
I'm here with a short post today. I made a card for the Queen for the Day #155 on Splitcoaststampers. The Queen is DJRants and she has a super gallery of cards. I was on a Design Team with DJ and saw all her beautiful work each week.
I am doing a case of this card. I knew when I saw the tulips it was the card I wanted to case because they are my favorite flower. I actually was able to use my craft knife to cut the inside part of the flower and that is something I find very hard to do. Got it done and I'm happy! :-) The rest of the cutting of the tulip was done with my scissors.
I'm entering my card into these challenges: 4 Crafty Chicks challenge #132-Die for Dies
Delicious Doodles Challenges-(where my friend NanaConnie is a new DT) Use die cuts
I think this is it for me this week. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. If my sister comes to visit me next week, I will probably be gone most of the week. So, I'll see you all soon.

A Single Rose
This is my second post for today. My CCEE Stampers post is one down.
I have had men working in my house yesterday and today so what better time to make a card and play in some challenges. But, I'll sure be glad when they are gone. I'm finally getting my backsplash tiles for the kitchen. Yes, I've had it! All this work has been going on since, I believe, last Spring.
I wanted to do the tutorial found at by Inspired by Stamping-WHW#92. It is a tute by my pal, Colleen Dietrich at Detrich Designs. It is all about Decorating Buttons. I used an IBS image from Small Fancy Labels 1 to stamp on my green cardstock for the button cover. I stamped the image a few times and just punched out with a 3/4" punch to fit over the same size button and glued it on. It is best to use a flat button. Oh, and I used a paper piercer to punch the holes . You can add glossy accents and some twine to run through the holes if you like. I made 4 or 5 buttons and ended up only using one...can save the others for another card. My sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping/Flowers Bloom.
My sketch is from Splitcoaststampers, Sketch SC426.
The pretty patterned paper is Botanical Collection bought in a 6 x 6 stack pad from Hobby Lobby. It has such pretty matching papers. My white cardstock is PTI and the rest of the cardstock is just scraps with no name.
I didn't color my rose, instead just cutting out and placing on the Spellbinders circle and scallop circle nestabilie.
I'm entering my card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog this week-in honor of St. Patrick's Day, use a bit o' green.
Glad you came by and hope you have a good rest of the week....even if you are in piles of snow. We are supposed to be in the low 70's Saturday and Sunday. Guess who is happy about that?
Remembering Eyelets
CCEE1310
It's been forever since I have use eyelets and it is fun to try them again. Charlene Merrick is the hostess for the month of March at CCEE Stampers and gave the challenge this week, The Eyes Have It-use eyelets in your design.
I decided to play with my burlap and smeared on some Liquitex Modeling Paste just for a little interest. On top of that, I used a Cute Circles set by Inspired by Stamping to make a tag and for the sentiment. I should have used another eyelet to run my raffia hanger through but forgot. I have used three eyelets, two yellow and the orange one at the top is an eyelet.
I had a great time making this card and we hope you'll join us at CCEE Stampers and make your own card using eyelets.

Paper-PTI white cardstock, SU Cherry Cobbler, 6x6 paper pad/Jillibean Soup-Blossom Soup
Ink-Stampin'Up! Cherry Cobbler, Memento Tangelo

Because..............
Holy Moly, I spent the day on this card. I first started trying to use a certain sketch and took so much time with it. Shame on me because in the end I didn't like it one bit and had to start over in a completely different direction. Guess what else...I have taken sooooooooo many photos. Every time I got one I liked, I would see a speck of glitter somewhere on the card. I should have just given up. LOL
I am just thinking how clean my craft room was when I started and now it is completely wrecked.
I made my card for the Inspired By Stamping challenge--IBSIC#48. I have fallen in love with their stamps and use them quite often. My sentiment is from IBS and is called Flowers Bloom.
This is my inspiration photo. What a wonderful sight. I was inspired by the colors and pretty flowers.
The fern die is a Spellbinders Shapeabilities Foliage set and the window which I am just using as lattice is from Cheery Lynn Designs/A2 Frame die small.
My paper is PTI white cardstock and Stampin'Up Pretty in Pink and Sage Shadow. I'm thinking the green isn't right but mine had the name sage in it so I went with it. The patterned paper is an unknown scrap. I wish my pink was lighter but I ruined the only light piece I had with the first attempt. Ugh! My flower is a Prima and I'm thinking looking a bit large. One of those days!!! You know you've had them. Right?? :-)
My card is also entered into The Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge Blog-#9 where the theme is Spring or Pastel.
